How to Know a Whale

Supported by the Marks Family Foundation and the Connecticut Sea Grant, this is a one-hour solo show built to travel via bicycle to outdoor performances. Created as part of the completion of my MFA, this project was built as a way to gather safely outdoors in the summer of 2021. The set was designed by Zach Broome and built by David Ash, and the show features original music by Juliana Carr. How to Know a Whale has been performed dozens of times across parks in Minneapolis, St Paul, Hartford, and more, and was invited to be a part of the Walker Art Center’s Family Day in the summer of 2022.
